Our Services
Our services at CASSI are of a high quality and based on individual need.
CASSI offers a flexible service to assist the individual in areas which include:
- Personal Care
- Practical help with daily living
- Community Access
- Social Contact
CASSI provides a range of services to people with a disability.
Below is a description of five different services or supports that we provide. Importantly, it should be noted that while there are some common themes within each type of service, we always vary and adjust what we provide to best respond to the individual needs of each Service User.
Accommodation Support: this is where we work in the home of a Service User to assist him or her to live as independently as possible. Sometimes the Service User will be living alone, at times with family and at other times sharing housing and support with other people with a disability. An accommodation support service will also assist people with a disability to enjoy the benefits to be found from living in their community.
Community Access: this is a broad and adaptable program of support where we assist each person with a disability to participate in their community. This will include social outings, going to activity groups, visiting friends and family; indeed following the interests of each Service User.
Attendant Care Program: this is similar to the accommodation support program except that it is generally for people who are able to manage and direct their own support staff; and who are usually able to live in their own home.
Post School Support: this is for young adults who have left school and need support to access the vocational or social activities of their choice. This is similar to Community Access except that it is geared around the needs of young people leaving school.
Vacation Support Service: this is a new initiative at CASSI. Being located at a popular holiday destination we are available to support people with a disability on the Gold Coast during the period of their holidays. This can include the practicalities of setting yourself up at a holiday venue, getting advice about accessible locations, assistance at theme parks or whatever else needs to be arranged. This is organised on a fee for service basis.
